You may audit the the following acting classes:
Meisner Technique: Ongoing
Improvisation Work, created by Sanford Meisner, is used to cultivate each Actor’s unique talents. Our Actors learn to work from their honest feelings and impulses, in the moment. They learn to connect with full responsiveness to the other Actors in a scene, and live truthfully under meaningful imaginary circumstances. Students are initiated into our reading and film study program to broaden their range and deepen their artistic and cultural insight. Classes are 3 hours long, twice a week. Every Actor works every class.
Scene Study/Audition Technique: Ongoing
Through Meisner Technique, Actors are taught a complete improvisation-based approach to scene work from first reading of the script, to final performance. Script Analysis and Audition Technique are covered, while students are given insight and tools toward Career Development and Self-Agency. Classes are 3 hours long, twice a week. Every Actor works every class.
Comedy Improv: Ongoing
Through Comedic Improvisation, Actors learn how to enhance their repertoire of comedy characters, and commit to the truthfulness of the comedy they are working with. They also learn how to deal with all the choices possible to them in a comedy scene, open up to the "possibility" that they truly have a unique and interesting sense of humor and trust it, have more fun with comedy, and engage in "play" as a craft. Classes are 3 hours long, once a week. Every Actor works every class.
